ShopChat AI collects the following information when installed on a Wix store: store product catalog data, shipping rules, business name and location, and store owner contact email. This information is used solely to power the AI chat assistant.
Store data is used to generate accurate responses to customer questions via the ShopChat AI chat widget. We do not sell, share, or distribute your store data to third parties.
Store data is cached temporarily in memory on our servers to enable real-time chat responses. Data is not permanently stored in a database and is cleared when the app is uninstalled.
ShopChat AI uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate chat responses. Customer chat messages are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing. We do not store individual customer chat conversations.
Visitor chat messages are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently. No personally identifiable information from store visitors is collected or retained.
All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS. API keys and credentials are stored securely as environment variables and are never exposed publicly.
Store owners may request deletion of their store data at any time by uninstalling the app or contacting us directly.
